About

Thanks for stopping by! Just wanted to share some images.

My educational and professional background are art and design: a degree from Auburn University, with additional study at Georgia State University and The Peralta College of San Francisco. I had a movable career of graphic design which worked out well given the fact that I married a military man. The nomadic life also suited my own personal approach to creating art as I have by intention no signature style of media, subject matter or technique.

Also, I want to encourage all of you who have ever had the slightest urge to make art to Just Do It! Yes, Just Do It.

“Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness … As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.” – John Lubbock (1834-1913) “The Pleasures of Life”

Adjunct info: Awards of excellence from the Art Directors’ Clubs of NY, ATL, and Savannah; awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts and Art Direction Magazine. Various painting awards in state of Virginia venues. Have exhibited at: Herndon ArtSpace Portrait Expressions, Fairfax Sherwood Center, Blenheim Civil War Interpretive Center, the Fairfax Railroad Museum, NOVA-Manassas, the Fairfax Art League, Artists in Middleburg, the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts, Best of the Region 111–Manassas and Art at the Mill, Millwood, VA.
